Meet Matt, our co-founder, a dynamic personality who embodies the spirit of fun, adventure, and a deep love for surfing.
As an award-winning New Zealand Registered Architect, Matt has held leadership roles in some of the country’s foremost architectural firms. His unwavering dedication to refined and thoughtful design is evident in every project he undertakes, ensuring a seamless journey from concept to completion.
In addition to his expertise in architecture and product design, Matt possesses exceptional hands-on skills in carpentry and metalwork. He also showcases his artistic talents through remarkable drawings featured on our sister site, slideeffect.co.nz.
When Matt isn’t immersed in creative endeavours, you’ll find him riding the waves at the picturesque Mount Maunganui beach, armed with his trusty surfboard, or cherishing quality family time while being a fantastic dad.
Renée Sterne
Co-Founder, Graphic Designer + Creative
Meet Renée, our dedicated co-founder, an ardent lover of surfing and a creative force in the world of graphic design.
Renée brings a wealth of experience and remarkable talent to the field of graphic design, with a specialisation in crafting compelling brand identities, as well as print and digital designs. Her journey in the creative industry includes roles as a creative director within various advertising and design agencies, where she consistently delivered impactful brand and advertising campaigns known for their aesthetic appeal and tangible results.
Beyond graphic design, Renée possesses a diverse skill set in interior and spatial design. She collaborates closely with Matt on architectural and spatial projects, lending her perceptive eye for functionality, material selection, and color coordination to shape and enhance them.
When she’s not immersed in the world of creativity, you’ll find Renée in search of tiny waves, gracefully riding them with her traditional longboard surfboard, keeping active at the gym, or enjoying precious moments with Matt and their children.
